URGING ATTENDANCE OF GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES TO THE 31ST NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON PUBLIC PERSONNEL ADMINISTRATION OF THE PERSONNEL OFFICERS ASSOCIATION OF THE PHILIPPINES, INC. (POAP)

The Personnel Officer Association of the Philippines (POAP), an organization of government officials and employees actively engaged in the practice of progressive personnel/human resource (HR) management shall hold its 31st National Conference on Public Personnel Administration on December 7 to 9, 2005 at the Gymnasium of the Government Service Insurance System, Financial Center, Pasay City.

This conference shall be conducted in line with the call of the President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to "enhance team spirit, open dialogue, provide more opportunities for professional growth and knowledge of all government servant-leaders".

All heads of departments, bureaus and offices, including government-owned and/or controlled corporations (GOCCs) and their subsidiaries, government financing institutions (GFIs) state universities and colleges (SUCs), and local government units (LGUs), are therefore authorized to send POAP members in their organizational units and their other HR paractioner-personnel to attend this conference unofficial time only, at no cost to the government except payment of their salaries, provided such attendance will not adversely affect the functions of their respective offices as well as the delivery of services to the public.1âшphi1
