AUTHORIZING THE PARTICIPATION ON OFFICIAL TIME OF OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES IN THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH OF THE GOVERNMENT AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS IN THE NATIONAL CONVENTION OF THE PHILIPPINE INSTITUTE OF ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNERS

The Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP) will hold its National Convention on December 2 to 3, 2005, with the theme: “Meeting the Challenges of Planning for Disaster Risk Reduction” at the Occupational Safety and Health Center, North Avenue, Diliman, Quezon, City.1âшphi1

In support of the government’s efforts towards a better Philippine environment, officials and employees in the executive branch of the government and local government units are hereby authorized to attend the above-mentioned Convention on official time only at no cost to the government except payment of their salaries, provided that such attendance will not adversely affect the functions of their respective offices as well as the delivery of services to the public.

Within thirty (30) days thereafter, participants shall submit a report on the Convention outputs, action plans and recommendations to the office of their respective department secretaries and heads of agencies. Likewise the PIEP shall furnish the Civil Service Commission a report on the results of the Convention as well as a list of the attendees.
