AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION OF GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS/EMPLOYEES IN WORLD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ORGANIZATION (WIPO) WORLD SYMPOSIUM ON BROADCASTING, NEW COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) will hold a World Symposium on Broadcasting, New Communication Technologies and Intellectual Property on 28-30 April at the Manila Hotel.

In this connection, and pursuant to Administrative Order No. 311 dated January 17, 1997, heads of departments, bureau, offices, agencies and government -owned and controlled corporations, as well as local government units up to the municipality level, are hereby authorized to send representative/s of their respective offices in Metro Manila to attend the Symposium on official time with entitlement to reasonable expenses, chargeable against funds of their respective offices, subject to the availability thereof and to accounting and auditing requirements and the provisions of National Budget Circular No. 442.1âшphi1

The participants shall, within fifteen (15) days thereafter, submit to their respective agency heads, copy furnished this Office, a complete report on their attendance in said activity. Likewise, within thirty (30) days after the Symposium, the organizers shall submit to this Office a list of participants indicating their respective offices, copy furnished the Civil Service Commission.
