AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION OF GOVERNMENT LAWYERS IN THE 6TH NATIONAL CONVENTION OF LAWYERS

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines hold its 6th National Convention on the theme “The IBP in the Asian Century” which will be held on April 24-25, 1997 at the Grand Convention Center of Cebu, Cebu City.

In this connection, heads of departments, bureaus, offices or agencies, as well as local government units up to the municipality level, are hereby authorized to send one (1) representative holding a lawyer position in their respective offices in Metro Manila to attend the Convention on official time with entitlement to reasonable expenses for transportation only, chargeable against funds of their respective offices, subject to the availability thereof and to accounting and auditing requirements.1âшphi1

The participants shall, within fifteen (15) days thereafter submit to their respective agency heads, copy furnished this Office, a complete report on their attendance in said activity. Likewise, within thirty (30) days after the Convention, the organizers shall submit to this Office, a list of participants indicating their respective offices, copy furnished the Civil Service Commission.
