[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 466, June 21, 1991 ]

ASSIGNING TO WE DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS THE SOLE USE AND OCCUPANCY OF THE FORMER ASIAN DEVELOPMENT BANK (ADB) BUILDING AND PREMISES

WHEREAS, the ADB building and premises at 2330 Roxas Boulevard, upon the transfer of ADB to its new headquarters, have been returned to the Philippine Government;

WHEREAS, the Government recognizes the long-standing need of the Department of Foreign Affairs to have a building of its own, suited to its special functions and responsibilities;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:

The Department of Foreign Affairs is hereby designated as the government agency that will occupy the former ADB headquarters premises.

The Department shall include in its annual operating budget the amount necessary to maintain the building structures, facilities and premises.

This Order shall take effect immediately upon its approval.

DONE in the City of Manila, Philippines, this 21st day of June in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and ninety-one.
