[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 329, August 10, 1971 ]

INSTITUTING THE PRESIDENTIAL CITATION FOR OUTSTANDING HUMANITARIAN SERVICES

In recognition of the need and significance of rendering due official cognizance and gratitude to Filipino citizens, resident foreigners and other friends of the Filipino people who have rendered spontaneous, exemplary and conspicuous service during special operations along social welfare, education, health and national defense undertaken by our Government in time of urgent national need, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, do hereby institute an award to be known as the Presidential Citation for Outstanding Humanitarian Services.

The award may also be conferred, by authority of the President, by the Executive Secretary and the Secretary of the Department which has instituted the special operations during which the awardee has rendered meritorious service and assistance.1a⍵⍴h!1

The Presidential Citation will be conferred in the usual form of the gold, silver and bronze medals; however, the line of endeavor in which the awardees has rendered outstanding services will be distinguished thus: a blue ribbon for social welfare, green for education, white for health and red for national defense. The awards will be given in three degrees.

Done in the City of Manila, this 10th day of August, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-one.
