[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 253, August 05, 1970 ]

AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 234 DATED MAY 16, 1970, WHICH BANS THE SLAUGHTER OF CARABAOS AND BUFFALOES

Executive Order No. 234 dated May 16, 1970, which prohibits the slaughter of carabaos and buffaloes, is hereby amended so as to allow the slaughter of carabaos and buffaloes under the following conditions:

a. Only carabaos or buffaloes that are three years of age or over may be slaughtered upon issuance of a slaughter permit by the Municipal Treasurer or City Treasurer concerned.

b. No slaughter permit shall be issued without a certificate by the Provincial or City Veterinarian concerned, or their authorized representatives, to the effect that the animal to be slaughtered is of the required age and is free from any disease.

Copies of certificates of ownership of animals slaughtered in accordance with this Order shall be forwarded to the Director of Animal Industry for statistical purposes.

All Executive Orders or regulations inconsistent herewith are hereby revoked.
