CREATING A COMMITTEE TO LOOK INTO THE BOOKS, BUSINESS AFFAIRS AND ADMINISTRATION OF PRIVATE COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES

By virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby create a committee to look into the books, business affairs and administration of private colleges and universities, composed of the following:

Representative of the Auditor General .................... Chairman
Representative of the Secretary of Finance .................... Member
Representative of the Commissioner of the Budget .................... Member
Representative of the Director of Private Schools .................... Member
Two students to be nominated by the students .................... Member
Instructors’ representative  .................... Member

The Committee is empowered to call upon any department, bureau, office, agency or instrumentality of the government for assistance.

The Committee is hereby vested with all the powers of an investigating committee under Sections 71 and 580 of the Revised Administrative Code, including the power to summon witnesses or take testimony or evidence relevant to the investigation by subpoena or subpoena duces tecum.

The Committee shall submit its report and recommendations to the President as soon as practicable.1a⍵⍴h!1
