[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 22, April 25, 1966 ]

CREATING A NATIONAL COMMITTEE TO TAKE CHARGE OF ALL ARRANGEMENTS CONNECTED WITH STATE AND OTHER VISITS

By virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby create a Committee to take charge of all arrangements connected with state, official and other visits to the Philippines, including the reception, stay and departure of the guests and the members of their official parties.

The Committee shall be composed of the following:

The Secretary of Foreign Affairs Chairman
The Commissioner of the Budget Member
The Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs Member
The Undersecretary of National Defense Member
The Undersecretary of Education Member
The Undersecretary of Labor Member
The Undersecretary of Public Works and Communications Member
The Assistant Executive Secretary Member
The Assistant Press Secretary Member
The Commissioner of Tourism Member
The Civil Aeronautics Administrator Member
The Chief of Protocol of the Department of Foreign Affairs Member
The Presidential Protocol Officer Member-Secretary
The Deputy Chief of Protocol, Department of Foreign Affairs Coordinator & Liaison Officer

The members of the Committee shall be chairman of the sub-committees of Finance, on Planning and Reception, on Security and Military Matters, on Civic Participation, on Labor Participation, on Land Transportation and Route Decorations, on Government Participation, on Press and Publicity, on Accommodations and Tours, on Aircraft Clearances and Airport Decorations, on Foreign Diplomatic Participation and Protocol, and on Presidential and Cabinet Participation, respectively.

The Committee is hereby authorized to call upon any department, bureau, office, agency or instrumentality of the government, including government-owned or controlled corporations, for such assistance as it may need in discharging its duties and functions.

The Chairman of the Committee is hereby authorized to create ad hoc committees for specific visits which shall be responsible for the planning, coordination and smooth execution of all arrangements in connection therewith.

IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
