[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 82, May 14, 1964 ]

AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 321 DATED JUNE 12, 1950, ENTITLED “PRESCRIBING THE CODE OF THE NATIONAL FLAG AND THE NATIONAL ANTHEM OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES.”1âшphi1

By virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL, President of the Philippines, do hereby amend Paragraph 14 of Executive Order No. 321 dated June 12, 1950, so as to read as follows:

“14. No imprint shall be made on the Flag nor shall it be marred by advertisement, or in any manner desecrated. No tattered or worn-out flag shall at any time be used or displayed. It shall not be worn as a whole or part of a costume. It shall not be used as a pennant in the hood or in any part of a motor vehicle except in celebration of Independence Day, or on such other patriotic occasions as the President may designate.”

Done in the City of Manila, this 14th day of May, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-four.
