[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 234, February 11, 1957 ]

DECLARING THE MUNICIPAL PROPERTIES UNDER TAX DECLARATION NO. 9984 IN THE NAME OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BATAN, PROVINCE OF AKLAN, AS A NATIONAL SHRINE

WHEREAS, a historical marker in honor of Datu Bondahara Kalantiaw, the first Filipino Lawgiver, was unveiled in the Municipality of Batan, province of Aklan, on December 8, 1956;

WHEREAS, the Kalantiaw Historical Society of Batan proposes to construct a Hall of Fame and Library on the ruins of the Gabaldon School Building and Batan School Shop located on properties covered by Tax Declaration No. 9984 in the name of the municipality of Batan;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RAMON MAGSAYSAY, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, and upon the recommendation of the municipality of Batan, province of Aklan, do hereby declare the municipal properties covered by Tax Declaration No. 9984 in the name of said municipality as a National Shrine.
