REDUCING THE PRESENT RATE OF TARIFF DUTY ON CEMENT

Upon prior investigation by, and recommendation of, the National Economic Council, I, Ramon Magsaysay, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the authority vested in me by Republic Act No. 1490, entitled “An Act declaring shortages in certain construction materials and authorizing the President of the Philippines to reduce tariff rates for such construction materials,” do hereby reduce the present rate of tariff duty on cement by sixty-three per centum.1a⍵⍴h!1

Done in the City of Manila, this 19th day of July, in year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-six, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the eleventh.
