AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NUMBERED THREE HUNDRED EIGHTY-EIGHT, DATED DECEMBER TWENTY-SIX, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY, ENTITLED “DECLARING CERTAIN PRIME COMMODITIES AND RAW MATERIALS IN SHORT SUPPLY IN THE PHILIPPINES AND AUTHORIZING THE PRICE STABILIZATION CORPORATION TO IMPORT THE SAME IN ADEQUATE QUANTITIES”

By virtue of the powers vested in me by section 5 of Republic Act No. 509, in relation to section 8(6) of Republic Act No. 426, I, ELPIDIO QUIRINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby amend Executive Order No. 388, dated December 26, 1950, by including educational and technical books, book paper and binding- materials among the articles declared in short supply in the Philippines which may be imported without quota allocation by the Price Stabilization Corporation.1âшphi1
