RECOGNIZING RESERVE OFFICERS’ TRAINING IN THE COLLEGIATE DEPARTMENT OF SAN JUAN DE LETRAN COLLEGE

By virtue of the powers vested in me by the National Defense Act, I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, hereby recognize the high standard of training in the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps in the Collegiate Department of San Juan de Letran College.1âшphi1

Since every physically fit male student of collegiate standing in this institution is now being required to pursue a course of at least two years of military instruction, such student shall upon completion of such training be exempted from trainee instruction. It shall not exempt him from registration.

Done at the City of Manila, this fourteenth day of October, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-six, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the first.
