ESTABLISHING RESERVE OFFICERS’ TRAINING UNITS IN THE PHILIPPINES

By virtue of the powers vested in me by the National Defense Act, I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, hereby authorize the establishment and maintenance of Reserve Officers’ Training Units in the universities and colleges indicated below:

Adamson School of Industrial Chemistry and Engineering, Manila

De la Salle College, Manila

Philippine Normal School, Manila

Philippine School of Arts and Trades, Manila

San Beda College, Manila

Silliman University, Dumaguete, Negros Oriental

University of Santo Tomas, Manila

Every physically fit male student of collegiate standing in these institutions shall be required to pursue a course of, at least, two years of military instruction. This course of military training, if pursued to completion, shall exempt students from trainee instruction. It shall not exempt them from registration.1âшphi1
